25 Foreign Firms Establish Operations in Tamil Nadu
Twenty-five international companies have committed to establishing their first facilities in Tamil Nadu, following agreements signed at the Vetri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026. This initiative is expected to enhance local manufacturing capabilities and create thousands of jobs in the region.

At the Vetri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026, 25 foreign companies signed memorandums of understanding to set up operations in Tamil Nadu. Germany's Bitzer will invest Rs 300 crore in Kanchipuram, marking its first venture in India.
Taiwan's Bao Yan India Shoe plans to invest Rs 240 crore in Vellore, creating 3,000 jobs and facilitating production for brands like Geox and L.L. Bean. Additionally, Malaysia's Kinesis Semiconductor will launch India's inaugural localized semiconductor wire-bonding materials facility in Chennai. The influx of these companies may significantly boost the local economy and manufacturing sector.
