The India Cyber Threat Report 2026 by Seqrite reveals 265.52 million cyber threat detections in India from October 2024 to September 2025, with 3.79 million affecting manufacturing. Maharashtra reported the highest detections at 36.13 million. The report highlights a shift toward structured, automation-driven attacks, with Trojans and File Infectors making up 70% of malware. Ransomware incidents peaked in January 2025, while network exploitation targeting internet applications further increased vulnerabilities in the manufacturing sector.

Seqrite's India Cyber Threat Report 2026 indicates that India experienced 265.52 million cyber threat detections between October 2024 and September 2025, averaging 505 detections per minute. Manufacturing accounted for 3.79 million detections, representing 14.22% of total incidents.
Maharashtra had the highest detections at 36.13 million, followed by Gujarat with 24.13 million. The report noted a shift to automation-driven attacks, with 70% of malware activity attributed to Trojans and File Infectors.
Ransomware incidents peaked at 185 in January 2025, emphasizing risks to operational continuity. Additionally, over 9.2 million exploit scans targeted internet applications, indicating significant vulnerabilities in industrial systems.
