£3.1 Million Investment in Digital Transformation for Sussex Manufacturers
A £3.1 million funding initiative aims to enhance productivity and innovation among SME manufacturers in Sussex. The Made Smarter program offers technology advice, leadership training, and grants to support digital transformation efforts.

The Made Smarter South East program, launched in April 2025, has allocated £3.1 million to assist small and medium-sized manufacturers in Sussex with digital transformation. This initiative has already supported 273 manufacturers, conducted 137 diagnostic workshops, and approved grants for 20 technology projects, enabling over £1 million in investments, including ERP systems and automation technologies.
The program provides match funding of up to 50%, with grants reaching £20,000 for capital projects. Continued investment is expected to drive innovation and enhance productivity, positioning Sussex manufacturers for long-term growth and competitiveness in the market.
