$9.5 Million in Incentives for Energy Efficiency Upgrades in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura Counties
3C-REN announces $9.5 million in incentives for energy-saving upgrades in 2026, following high demand in 2025. These funds will support projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and improving safety and comfort across single-family, multifamily, and commercial properties in the tri-county region.

3C-REN has reinstated $9.5 million in incentives for energy-efficient upgrades in 2026, following the depletion of funds in 2025. The funding, allocated for single-family homes ($3.5 million), multifamily properties ($3.25 million), and commercial projects ($2.75 million), aims to enhance energy efficiency and comfort.
Past projects have included heat pump water heaters, HVAC systems, and insulation. In 2025, the program supported over 1,000 households with nearly $5.5 million in incentives. The initiative is crucial as federal funding for energy efficiency faces cuts.
