ABB Implements Ethernet-APL Automation for Longxiang Hengyu's Chemical Facility
ABB is set to deploy an advanced automation platform at Longxiang Hengyu Chemical's new facility in Fujian, China, which will produce 500,000 tonnes of oxo-alcohols annually. The project, expected to be operational by Q3 2027, emphasizes Ethernet-APL technology for enhanced connectivity and digital integration.

ABB will supply a comprehensive suite of automation solutions for Longxiang Hengyu's new chemical production facility in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. The plant is designed to produce 500,000 tonnes of butanol, octanol, and other related products annually, with commercial operations starting in Q3 2027.
Utilizing Ethernet-APL technology, the facility will enable high-speed data communication across a two-wire infrastructure. ABB's offerings include a distributed control system, safety management tools, and IoT applications tailored to optimize performance and facilitate predictive maintenance. This deployment aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce complexity, and promote digital transformation in the manufacturing process.
