ABB Implements Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Saving 57 Hours Monthly for 32 Global Teams
ABB has adopted Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform across its global teams to streamline IT processes, achieving an average savings of 57 hours per month per team since January 2025. The platform supports over 75 active use cases and has doubled its infrastructure size since launch. Automation has improved efficiency, reduced costs, and facilitated compliance. ABB is also considering Red Hat OpenShift for centralized application modernization.

ABB has implemented Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for global teams, leading to average monthly savings of 57 hours per team since January 2025. The platform enables streamlined IT processes, compliance, and cost reduction, supporting over 75 active use cases with more than 150 in development.
The central management by the Group Information Systems team allows business divisions to operate independently while sharing automations. Key improvements include faster server patching and automated service desk processes, significantly reducing manual work. ABB is now evaluating Red Hat OpenShift for further application modernization.
