ABB has integrated Ethernet-APL connectivity into its CoriolisMaster mass flowmeter, enhancing its flow measurement portfolio. This technology allows for improved data collection and analysis in industries such as chemical, oil & gas, power, and water. Ethernet-APL supports real-time decision-making and predictive maintenance, while addressing previous limitations of Ethernet use in process industries. The technology provides data rates up to 10 Mbps, a two-wire connection for power and data, and supports cable lengths up to 1,000 meters, making it suitable for hazardous environments.
