ABB has launched the ABB Ability™ System 800xA® 7.0, a distributed control system (DCS) aimed at assisting industrial operators in modernizing control systems with minimal disruption. It features Automation Extended functionality to enable phased digital capability implementation while maintaining operational stability. The launch is part of a Long Term Support (LTS) scheme, ensuring safer and more predictable system operations. The system is compatible with existing installations and new projects, supporting various Windows OS and greater virtualization.
