ABB's Bella Vista Plant in Argentina Achieves 97% Emission Reduction with Renewable Energy
ABB's manufacturing plant in Bella Vista, Argentina, has achieved a 97% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions since 2019. The facility, operating for over 50 years and employing over 150 people, now runs entirely on renewable electricity, with 15% generated on-site and 85% sourced from I-REC certified providers. In 2024, it reduced emissions by 530 tonnes of CO₂e, equivalent to 115 petrol-powered cars. The plant also has a 91% waste diversion rate under its Zero Waste to Landfill programme.

ABB's electrification manufacturing plant in Bella Vista, Argentina, has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 97% compared to 2019 levels. The facility operates entirely on renewable electricity, generating 15% on-site and sourcing 85% from I-REC certified providers.
In 2024, the plant cut 530 tonnes of CO₂e, equivalent to the emissions of approximately 115 petrol-powered cars. It manufactures low-voltage products for Latin America and has achieved a 91% waste diversion rate under its Zero Waste to Landfill programme. This project showcases the potential of electrification and automation in reducing emissions.
