The Amazonica LNG terminal in Palermo is transitioning into the financial closure phase, expected by June, with a total investment of approximately $150 million. This facility is designed to handle a daily demand of 100 to 150 million cubic feet, featuring two regasification systems that can jointly process up to 200 million cubic feet.
The project aims to create 400 construction jobs and 100 operational positions, enhancing local energy supply and supporting community needs. It is backed by Retramar and Affinity Investment Fund. The incorporation of imported gas is deemed essential to mitigate Colombia's prolonged energy deficit and ensure energy sovereignty.
