Aeon is testing the Zeus missile in Texas, designed as a lower-cost alternative to the Javelin missile. The Zeus weighs 20 pounds and measures 30 inches long, allowing for quick payload swapping and compatibility with Android Tactical Assault Kit.
It can be launched from ground vehicles and drones. The Zeus aims to provide over 90% cost savings compared to the Javelin, pricing it around $10,300. The U.S. military seeks scalable anti-tank weapons to replenish stockpiles depleted during the Ukraine conflict. The Javelin has over 5,000 combat engagements and will remain in service until 2050.
