AISAN Emphasizes Personnel Retraining for AIM Transition in Nigeria
AISAN stresses the importance of ongoing training for personnel amid the transition to Aeronautical Information Management. The automation of AIS is nearing completion, aiming to enhance data integration and operational efficiency.

The Aeronautical Information Services Association of Nigeria (AISAN) has highlighted the crucial need for continuous training of personnel as part of the transition to Aeronautical Information Management (AIM). The first stage of the AIS automation project is nearing completion, which will consolidate all AIS/MAP products into a single database, facilitating data exchange with the global aviation community.
This initiative aims to improve the speed, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of aeronautical information services, ensuring standardization for users. The significance of aeronautical data has evolved, particularly with the adoption of advanced navigation systems. The AIS Day will be observed on May 16, 2016, at the NCAA Annex in Lagos, to further raise awareness among members.
