Amazon Launches Carbon Credit Service for UK Companies Targeting Net-Zero
Amazon has introduced its carbon credit service in the UK, marking its first international expansion. Eligible companies must commit to net-zero emissions by 2050 or earlier, covering all emission scopes.

Amazon's carbon credit service is now available to UK companies aiming for net-zero targets by 2050. This expansion represents the company's first move outside the U.S., where the service began in March 2025.
Participating firms must regularly measure and report greenhouse gas emissions and can access vetted climate credits and supply-chain solutions. The service includes initiatives like forest protection and ecosystem restoration, with proceeds also supporting local community needs.
Amazon emphasizes that quality assurance in carbon credits is crucial amid growing scrutiny. The initiative enhances Amazon's role in the voluntary carbon market and requires companies to demonstrate credible climate action alongside credit use.
