Andhra Pradesh Transport Dept and Maruti Suzuki Sign MoA for Driving Test Track Automation
The Andhra Pradesh Transport Department has partnered with Maruti Suzuki India Limited to automate driving test tracks at four Regional Transport Office locations, enhancing road safety and transparency in the driving licence issuance process. This initiative, part of Maruti Suzuki's Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, will standardize and improve the efficiency of driving licence testing. Maruti Suzuki will provide technology and training, while the transport department will handle infrastructure support.

The Transport Department of Andhra Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Maruti Suzuki India Limited to automate driving test tracks at four Regional Transport Office locations in the state. The MoA aims to enhance road safety and transparency in driving licence issuance.
The project, part of Maruti Suzuki's Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, will improve the efficiency and standardization of the driving licence testing process. Automated test tracks will be established at RTOs in Eluru, Ongole, Vizianagaram, and Anakapalli.
Maruti Suzuki will provide technology, integrate with the SARATHI driving licence system, train personnel, and maintain the system for three years. The transport department will support infrastructure development, civil works, power supply, security, and conduct tests through the automated system.
