Application of InVEST Carbon Model in Indian Ecosystems
The project focuses on applying the InVEST Carbon Model to assess carbon storage and sequestration in two ecosystems in India: Sultanpur National Park and Mangar Bani. This analysis is significant for informing conservation strategies and understanding the ecological impact of land use changes.

A GIS-based assessment will utilize the InVEST Carbon Storage and Sequestration Model on Sultanpur National Park and Mangar Bani. The project includes data preparation involving Land Use/Land Cover raster datasets and spatial layer adjustments.
Key tasks are model implementation to analyze carbon storage and sequestration, generating GIS maps, and producing comparative reports. Expected deliverables include processed datasets, GIS maps, and a final report detailing methodology, assumptions, and findings. This modeling effort may provide insights into the ecological benefits of wetland versus forest systems, influencing future environmental management decisions.
