Arcadis Selected by ProRail for ERTMS Implementation in the Netherlands
Arcadis has been contracted by ProRail to implement the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) in the Netherlands. The €12 million project focuses on modernizing the train protection system on the Roosendaal-Vlissingen route as a pilot for increased rail traffic safety and efficiency. Work will commence immediately, beginning with the Lewedorp-Vlissingen section. The project utilizes Arcadis' Dyndash design platform to enhance project delivery and aligns with broader European objectives for interoperability in rail networks.

ProRail has selected Arcadis to implement the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) in the Netherlands for approximately €12 million. The project aims to modernize the train protection system on the Roosendaal-Vlissingen route, serving as a pilot for enhanced safety and efficiency in rail traffic.
Initial work will focus on the Lewedorp-Vlissingen section, followed by the Roosendaal-Lewedorp section. Arcadis will employ its Dyndash design platform to facilitate integration and automation in project delivery. This initiative aligns with the European Commission’s goals for high-speed networks and interoperability across member states, impacting the national network's capacity and reliability.
