Arizona Western College Secures $5 Million Grant for Manufacturing Training Program
Arizona Western College has been awarded $5 million by the U.S. Small Business Administration for its Manufacturing Business and Automation Accelerator program, part of a $50 million initiative supporting manufacturers nationwide. This funding aims to enhance hands-on training and business guidance for small manufacturers in Southwest Arizona.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has allocated $50 million to 11 organizations to bolster manufacturing training and technical assistance through its Empower to Grow (E2G) program. Arizona Western College (AWC) will utilize $5 million for its year-long Manufacturing Business and Automation Accelerator (MBAA) program, aimed at assisting small manufacturers and startups in Southwest Arizona.
AWC operates a manufacturing training center located in Wellton, Yuma County. This investment is expected to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities and workforce development, potentially enhancing job creation and economic growth in the region.
