Armada Technologies to Install Air Lubrication System on TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff 6
Armada Technologies has signed an agreement with TUI Cruises to install its Passive Air Lubrication System (PALS) on Mein Schiff 6, enhancing decarbonization efforts. The installation is scheduled for Q1 2027 in Singapore. The system aims to improve fuel efficiency, reduce GHG emissions, and support compliance with maritime efficiency standards.

Armada Technologies will install its Passive Air Lubrication System (PALS) on TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff 6, which has a gross tonnage of 98,785 and accommodates 2,534 passengers. The installation is planned for Q1 2027 during a dry dock in Singapore.
PALS generates a fine air-water mixture to reduce hull resistance and improve operational efficiency without compressors. This system will enhance fuel efficiency and lower GHG emissions, aiding compliance with the International Maritime Organization's Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) and Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) ratings. Armada's technology has undergone extensive independent testing and has received necessary approvals.
