A*STAR and Halliburton Launch S$35M NEX Lab for Well Completion Technologies in Singapore
Halliburton and A*STAR have inaugurated the S$35M Next-Generation Energy Xccelerator Joint Lab (NEX Lab) in Singapore, focusing on advancing well completion technologies for the energy sector. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board, the lab aims to enhance local manufacturing and energy technology capabilities while expediting the transition from innovation to field deployment. This collaboration builds on a partnership that began in 2019, with Halliburton investing over S$2M in R&D efforts.

Halliburton and A*STAR have launched the Next-Generation Energy Xccelerator Joint Lab (NEX Lab) in Singapore, aimed at advancing well completion technologies for the energy sector. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the S$35M lab will facilitate research, engineering, and testing to expedite the transition from innovation to field deployment.
The collaboration seeks to enhance local manufacturing and energy technology capabilities, creating opportunities for the workforce and strengthening supply chains. Halliburton has worked with A*STAR since 2019, investing over S$2M in R&D focused on materials, design, and automation.
