AUSMASA Initiates Consultation on Mobile Plant Technology Training
The Australian Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance (AUSMASA) is reviewing its Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology to adapt training for evolving industry needs. This initiative aims to align workforce skills with the transition towards electrification and advanced technologies in the automotive and mining sectors.

AUSMASA's consultation on the Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology is currently underway, targeting industry transformation in automotive and mining. Feedback is being collected on key training units to ensure alignment with future industry demands, particularly regarding electrification and automation.
The consultation involves various stakeholders, including employers, unions, and government entities. The project began in October 2025 and is scheduled for completion in December 2026, with the consultation closing on May 10.
The upcoming steps include feedback incorporation in May-June and final checks by July. This review is critical for developing a skilled workforce capable of meeting sustainability goals.
