Azura Partners with UM6P to Develop Alternative to Coconut Fiber and Explore Biochar Production

CARBON CAPTURE

Azura, a Franco-Moroccan group, is advancing its sustainable investment strategy through partnerships with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and companies Netzero and Carbonostrum. The collaboration with UM6P focuses on developing an alternative substrate to coconut fiber to decrease dependency on imports and enhance sustainability in greenhouse production.

Simultaneously, Azura aims to investigate biochar production technology, which utilizes biomass pyrolysis to improve soil health and contribute to carbon sequestration. These initiatives reflect Azura's commitment to innovation and environmental performance in agriculture.
