Bangladesh and Angola Initiate Energy Cooperation Talks
Bangladesh and Angola have launched their first high-level bilateral discussions on energy cooperation. This partnership aims to enhance energy supply, investment opportunities, and technical collaboration between the two nations.

A high-level bilateral dialogue between Bangladesh and Angola focused on energy cooperation took place recently, marking a significant step towards a long-term partnership. The meeting, initiated by Bangladesh, involved senior officials and state energy entities from both countries discussing crude oil, gas cooperation, and investment opportunities.
Bangladesh's delegation, led by the Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, emphasized the country's increasing energy demands and the need to diversify imports beyond the Middle East. Angola, producing approximately 1.1 million barrels of crude oil daily, highlighted its LNG capabilities and ongoing infrastructure developments. Both countries committed to sustained engagement to realize potential energy collaborations and investment opportunities.
