The Barbados Government is promoting citizen investment in national projects, as outlined by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley. The new phase of the Economic Recovery and Transformation (BERT) initiative emphasizes inclusive growth, allowing Barbadians to invest in infrastructure like desalination plants and battery storage.
Mottley highlighted the importance of ownership opportunities for ordinary citizens and mentioned the challenges faced in sourcing industrial-scale battery systems.
