Battery Recycling Projects in Yibin and Yancheng Advance with Significant Investments
Two battery recycling projects in China's Sichuan and Jiangsu provinces are set to enhance local recycling capacities. The Yibin facility aims for 80,000 tpa processing, while the Yancheng project, approved recently, targets 50,000 tpa.

The battery recycling project in Gao County Economic Zone, Yibin, Sichuan, is nearing final commissioning with a capacity of 40,000 tpa for spent batteries. A total investment of approximately RMB 300 million will fund nine planned lines, including future hydrometallurgy capabilities for extracting metals.
Meanwhile, a separate project in Dafeng Port Petrochemical Park, Yancheng, Jiangsu, has received government approval for a 50,000 tpa lithium battery recycling facility, with an investment of RMB 450 million. This plant will produce 24,201 tpa of recycled black mass and lithium products, enhancing the region's hydrometallurgical recycling capacity. These developments could significantly impact local battery supply chains and recycling efficiencies.
