BAWI and SWIETELSKY to Complete Railway Infrastructure Works at Valu lui Traian Station in Romania
The railway infrastructure project at Valu lui Traian Station in Romania, led by BAWI S.R.L. and SWIETELSKY S.R.L., is nearing completion. The project, which started in early 2024, involves modernizing several railway lines and includes a total contract value of 377.5 million lei. The works will be completed over nine months of design and twenty months of execution, with electrification and drainage systems included. The project aims to enhance railway operations and ensure modernized infrastructure by the end of 2026.

The railway infrastructure modernization project at Valu lui Traian Station, Romania, is set for completion by the end of 2026. Led by BAWI S.R.L. and SWIETELSKY S.R.L., the project was contracted in March 2024 for a total value of 377.5 million lei.
Works include the modernization of lines 1-32 and lines 5-8, installation of new signaling systems, and electrification. The project duration comprises nine months for design and twenty months for execution. Key infrastructure improvements include new drainage systems, strengthening of the base ground, construction of new bridges, and the installation of SCADA systems.
