This funding, announced on February 19 during Quantum Days 2026, is provided through the British Columbia Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF) and aims to enhance research capabilities in quantum computing, clean technology, and life sciences.
Notable projects include a quantum computing initiative receiving over $90,000 for equipment, aimed at solving complex problems more efficiently. The BCKDF, established in 1998, has funded nearly $367 million for research infrastructure across the province since 2017.
