BD has partnered with automation provider Sinteco to improve pharmacy robotics in European hospitals. The collaboration aims to automate the sorting of bulk shipments of medications into individually bar-coded packs, reducing manual labor and human error.

This initiative allows pharmacists and nurses to concentrate on patient care while enhancing traceability and addressing staffing challenges. The partnership will also develop modular, scalable platforms for diverse hospital operations. Additionally, BD is working on its AI-enabled dispensing platform, Incada, to integrate patient data with medication management.
