Belarus Focuses on Enterprise Competitiveness for Regional Growth
Belarus emphasizes the need for enterprise competitiveness to drive sustainable regional growth. Key sectors include livestock, wood processing, and agro-ecotourism.

The Deputy Economy Minister of Belarus, Alesya Abramenko, highlighted that enhancing enterprise competitiveness is crucial for sustainable regional development during her visit to Vitebsk Oblast. She assessed investment projects, including a new woodworking shop at Rossony Forestry Enterprise, anticipated to increase lumber output by 10,500 cubic meters.
Additionally, at Novopolotsk Plant of Technological Metal Structures, the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies is underway. The 'Technological Self-Sufficiency' credit product supports 27 projects, with two in Vitebsk, suggesting a potential uptick in regional initiatives. The focus on automation and lean manufacturing could attract further investments.
