Bigwave Robotics Corp. has introduced a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, allowing businesses to use robots for an initial cost of 1 million won, significantly lowering the financial barriers of entry. The company, founded in 2020 by Kim Min-kyo, integrates its Marosol online platform with the SOLlink multi-robot control system, recognized for innovation in the robotics sector.
Bigwave plans to expand its RaaS services into the U.S. and Japan by 2025, as the global RaaS market is expected to reach $6.42 billion by 2031. The integration of cloud-based AI solutions is set to enhance factory automation, reducing costs and facilitating easier programming of robots without coding expertise.
