Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad to Complete Port Operating System Installation by April 2026
Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) is set to complete the installation of its Port Operating System (POS) at Bintulu Port by April 2026. This initiative is part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at achieving full digitalisation by 2030. The POS has already been implemented at Samalaju Industrial Port since September 2025.

Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) plans to finalize the installation of its Port Operating System (POS) at Bintulu Port by April 2026, advancing its goal of full digitalisation by 2030. The POS, inspired by Shanghai's Yangshan Phase 4 terminal technology, has been operational at Samalaju Industrial Port since September 2025.
The system will enhance customer operations and integrate advanced technologies like Smart Barrier Gate and Licence Plate Recognition. BPHB is also implementing a digital twin system for operational monitoring. The company aims for complete automation by 2050 and is finalizing the port transfer process from federal to state jurisdiction.
