Bishop Lonsdale Primary School Receives Funding for Green Upgrades under Great British Energy Solar Partnership
Bishop Lonsdale Church of England Primary School in Derby, part of the Derby Diocesan Academy Trust, has received funding from the Great British Energy Solar Partnership Programme to enhance sustainability. This initiative allows for the installation of solar panels and energy-efficient upgrades, including LED lighting and a battery storage system. The project aims to reduce energy bills and the school's carbon footprint, benefiting both staff and pupils.

Bishop Lonsdale Church of England Primary School in Derby has secured funding through the Great British Energy Solar Partnership Programme, which supports solar panel installations and energy-saving improvements. During a visit by Derby North MP Catherine Atkinson, it was highlighted that the upgrades would lower energy costs and reduce the carbon footprint.
The school is also receiving a new energy pod with a heat pump, LED lighting upgrades, and electric vehicle charging points. The project is part of a larger government investment of up to £100 million aimed at enhancing energy efficiency across England.
