Boeing and Rheinmetall Advance Germany's Collaborative Combat Aircraft Capabilities
Boeing and Rheinmetall are accelerating Germany's development of Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) capabilities, leveraging the MQ-28 Ghost Bat platform. This initiative aims to enhance Germany's military capabilities by integrating local technologies and developing autonomous systems.

Boeing is investing in the MQ-28 Ghost Bat's development to equip the German Air Force with collaborative combat capabilities by 2029. Rheinmetall is establishing a standalone system integration for the MQ-28 in Germany, allowing for the immediate development of national capabilities, including sensor and weapon integration.
The MQ-28 has already participated in multinational exercises, proving its operational readiness. This collaboration aims to create an industrial ecosystem for sustained domestic military capability development.
The modular design of the MQ-28 allows for rapid adaptation to new mission requirements, enhancing operational flexibility. Risks include reliance on timely integration of sovereign technologies to meet strategic objectives.
