Boké Launches Sanitation Campaign Under Mayor Bassekou Amirou Dramé
Boké has initiated a sanitation campaign led by Mayor Bassekou Amirou Dramé to improve urban cleanliness. The operation targets various waste hotspots, enhancing living conditions for residents.

The Boké urban commune has commenced a sanitation initiative under Mayor Bassekou Amirou Dramé, collaborating with the National Agency for Public Cleanliness (ANASP). Key activities included the removal of waste at the Ambaya intersection and Douane sector, followed by efforts at the Hangar market on August 9, 2026.
The project received logistical support from Kambia Bauxite Mining (KBM), which provided a truck for waste transport. Local authorities, NGOs, and community groups participated actively to ensure the operation's success. The municipality plans to implement future preventive measures to sustain cleanliness and prevent illegal dumping.
