BRAC Bank Achieves $1 Billion Market Capitalization and Record Profit
BRAC Bank's market capitalization has exceeded $1 billion, with a record profit of Tk 2,251 crore in 2025. The bank's initiatives have financed over 2 million SME entrepreneurs, contributing to the creation of more than 10 million jobs, highlighting its significant role in Bangladesh's economic development.

In 2025, BRAC Bank reported a net profit after tax of Tk 2,251 crore, marking its highest profit level. The bank's non-performing loan (NPL) ratio was reported at 2.27%, significantly lower than Bangladesh's banking sector average of over 30%.
It serves around 80 million customers through its subsidiary, bKash, and processes over Tk 23,000 crore in corporate transactions monthly via its CorpNet platform. The bank has financed a $96 million Aframax oil tanker, the largest single-bank financing in the shipping sector.
Digital transformation is emphasized, with the Astha app facilitating remote banking services, and over 30 projects leveraging AI and automation to enhance efficiency. BRAC Bank's agricultural loans are provided at approximately 14%, compared to higher rates from MFIs.
Foreign trade financing reached $7.12 billion in the last year, contributing to about 6-7% of Bangladesh's annual trade. The bank's capital base surpassed Tk 10,000 crore, with deposits growing nearly 27.5%, reflecting increased customer confidence. It aims to expand financial inclusion and strengthen remote banking services further.
