Brahmaputra Infrastructure Secures ₹81.98 Crore NFR Contract for Railway Doubling Project
Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited, through its joint venture NCDC-Brahmaputra JV, has won a ₹81.98 crore contract from Northeast Frontier Railway for the Lumding-Furkating Doubling Project. This contract involves the construction of staff quarters and essential infrastructure, with an execution timeline of 18 months.

Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited's joint venture, NCDC-Brahmaputra JV, has been awarded a ₹81.98 crore contract by Northeast Frontier Railway for the Lumding-Furkating Doubling Project. The project entails building 128 Type-II, 50 Type-III, and 18 Type-IV staff quarters, alongside a pump house and complete electrification works, with an 18-month completion timeline.
The Lumding-Furkating corridor is key for freight and passenger transit in Assam, with the doubling project aimed at enhancing railway capacity. The successful execution of this contract may improve the JV's chances for future, larger NFR tenders, reinforcing its competitive position in the regional railway construction sector.
