BSNL and Skylo Launch India's First Satellite-Based Narrowband-IoT Network
BSNL has partnered with Skylo to introduce the world's first satellite-based Narrowband-IoT network in India, enhancing connectivity for unconnected machines and devices across various sectors. The solution provides PAN-India coverage, including Indian seas, and aligns with India's Digital India initiative. This technology aims to support industries like agriculture, logistics, and fisheries, enabling data-driven operations and efficient distribution of resources such as COVID-19 vaccines.

BSNL, in collaboration with Skylo, has launched the first satellite-based Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) network in India, aimed at enhancing connectivity for unconnected machines and industrial IoT devices. The solution, developed in India, offers extensive coverage across the country, including remote areas and seas.
It is designed to support sectors like agriculture, logistics, and fisheries, and has already been tested successfully in various applications such as Indian Railways. The initiative aligns with the Indian government's Digital India vision and aims to provide critical data for efficient operations. The Skylo User Terminal will enable real-time data transmission and support various industry-specific applications.
