C12 Partners with QC Design to Utilize Plaquette for Advancing Carbon Nanotube Quantum Computing

C12 has partnered with QC Design to adopt the Plaquette software, aimed at accelerating the development of its fault-tolerant quantum computing architecture based on carbon nanotubes. Plaquette facilitates the simulation and optimization of fault-tolerant designs under realistic noise models, enabling C12 to benchmark quantum error-correcting codes.

By utilizing isotopically purified carbon-12 nanotubes, C12's architecture achieves coherence times significantly larger than previous carbon-based quantum circuits. The integration of Plaquette allows for the evaluation of hardware imperfections on logical qubit performance and the comparison of various error correction strategies as C12 scales its quantum processors.
