Ca Mau Begins Construction on Japan-Bac Lieu Wind Power Project
The groundbreaking of the Nhat Ban-Bac Lieu Wind Power Project on June 20 initiates a 50 MW project in Ca Mau, Vietnam, with an investment of nearly VND2.5 trillion. This development aims to enhance renewable energy usage, contribute to national energy security, and support local economic growth.

The Nhat Ban-Bac Lieu Wind Power Project, with a capacity of 50 MW and an investment of nearly VND2.5 trillion, commenced construction on June 20 in Ca Mau. The project is expected to provide clean electricity to the national grid, enhance energy security, and lower greenhouse gas emissions by its completion date of December 31, 2027.
Ca Mau's strategic coastal location and favorable wind conditions make it a key area for wind power development, aligning with Vietnam's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The province plans to achieve over 10.4% annual growth in electricity output from 2026 to 2030 and invest in renewable energy infrastructure. The investor, Japan-Bac Lieu Energy JSC, aims to adhere to environmental regulations and ensure project quality.
