Cadoux and Lindian Resources Advance in Rare Earth and Mineral Processing Projects
Cadoux Limited is enhancing its position in critical minerals by pursuing multiple projects, including the Wimmera Mineral Sands Project in Australia and High Purity Alumina technology. Meanwhile, Lindian Resources is transitioning from exploration to production, focusing on its Kangankunde rare earth project in Malawi and a processing facility in Kazakhstan, leveraging secured funding and contracts.

Cadoux Limited aims to solidify its foothold in critical minerals by expanding its operations across various value chains, including the Wimmera Mineral Sands Project in Victoria, Australia, where it can earn up to 80% of mineral rights. The company targets a JORC-compliant resource estimate by the end of 2026, with exploration goals of 50-100 million tons of material.
Concurrently, it is advancing its High Purity Alumina (HPA) project, with a planned production capacity exceeding 1,000 tons annually. Lindian Resources reports a significant transition to production at its Kangankunde project in Malawi, with a financing of AUD 191.5 million secured.
The company anticipates initial production in Q4 2024, backed by a long-term supply agreement with Iluka Resources. Lindian's SARECO facility in Kazakhstan further enhances its processing capabilities, allowing for lower capital costs compared to building new plants. Cadoux and Lindian's projects reflect a growing trend towards independent supply chains in the critical minerals sector, which may impact market valuation and competition.
