California Court Allows Costco Camarillo Project to Proceed with Opening Timeline

The Costco facility will include a 32-pump gas station, food court, and other amenities, with an anticipated opening in mid-to-late 2024. The project is expected to create approximately 900 jobs.

A California appeals court has ruled in favor of advancing the Costco development project in Camarillo, dismissing concerns from the local opposition group, Ventura County Citizens Against Mega Gas, regarding environmental impacts. The court determined there was insufficient evidence to support claims of significant new harm.
The Costco facility will include a 32-pump gas station, food court, bakery, pharmacy, optical and hearing centers, an on-site tire service center, and approximately 900 parking spaces, including EV charging stalls. Construction is set to accelerate, with an expected opening in mid-to-late 2024 and the creation of about 900 jobs in the region.
