Capital Maritime Adds New Multi-Gas Carrier 'Active' to Fleet from HD Hyundai Mipo
Capital Maritime has added 'Active', the first of four multi-gas carriers from HD Hyundai Mipo, to its fleet. This 159.9-meter vessel can transport liquefied cargo at temperatures as low as -55°C and is capable of carrying LPG, ammonia, and selected petrochemicals, with a cargo capacity of 22,000 cubic meters. 'Active' will begin a six-month charter transporting LPG for a trading specialist, with potential extensions of up to six months.

Capital Maritime has welcomed 'Active', the first of four multi-gas carriers being built by HD Hyundai Mipo for CCEC. The vessel can transport liquefied cargo at temperatures as low as -55°C and is designed for flexibility, capable of carrying LPG, ammonia, and selected petrochemicals.
'Active' measures 159.9 meters in length and 27.4 meters in beam, with a cargo capacity of 22,000 cubic meters. It is engineered to support carbon capture, utilization, and storage activities. The ship will start with a six-month charter transporting LPG for an undisclosed trading specialist, with options for up to six additional months.
