Carlyle to Sell Flender to Triton for €3 Billion
Carlyle is finalizing a sale of Flender GmbH to Triton Partners for approximately €3 billion. This transaction highlights ongoing investor interest in industrial assets tied to automation and renewable energy.

Carlyle is nearing an agreement to divest Flender GmbH to Triton Partners for about €3 billion. The firm initially acquired Flender from Siemens AG in 2021 for roughly €2 billion. Prior to this sale, Carlyle considered various strategic options, including a public listing, before opting for a sale this year.
The transaction reflects a broader trend among private equity firms to exit mature industrial assets that have gained from operational enhancements and infrastructure spending. If completed, this sale will rank as one of the largest European industrial private equity deals of the year, emphasizing investor interest in sectors related to automation and renewable energy.
