CAS Space Completes Super Rocket Factory in Zhejiang
CAS Space's new facility in Shaoxing is designed to produce 12 Kinetica-2 rockets annually, enhancing China's private space industry. This development signifies increased production capabilities and efficiency in China's rapidly growing aerospace sector.

CAS Space Co has completed its new facility for the Kinetica-2 rocket in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, with an intended capacity of 12 rockets per year. The factory integrates final assembly, testing, and main components manufacturing, focusing on key parts such as propellant tanks and valves.
The modular design and common component production aim to streamline assembly processes, enhancing flexibility in rocket launches. Over the next five years, the facility will optimize production to achieve full capacity.
In 2025, China's private space sector achieved 50 launches, representing 54% of the country's total, highlighting the growing trend of independent production bases among private aerospace companies. This year, China is projected to exceed 100 annual launches, with 60 being commercial, including 30 by private firms.
