Cathie Wood Invests $26 Million in SpaceX Ahead of Financial Results
Cathie Wood's ARK Investment Management has invested $26 million in SpaceX through four ETFs, coinciding with the company's financial disclosures as a publicly traded entity. The move signifies a strategic shift towards companies benefitting from AI infrastructure, space commercialization, and defense.

ARK Investment Management has made a significant $26 million investment in SpaceX (SPCX) across four ETFs: ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK), ARK Space Exploration & Innovation ETF (ARKX), ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF (ARKQ), and ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW). This investment coincides with SpaceX's upcoming financial results as a public company.
Additionally, Wood allocated $15.5 million to CoreWeave Inc (CRWV) and $14.3 million to Tesla, Inc (TSLA). ARK has also increased stakes in Nvidia Corp (NVDA), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (TSM), and several defense-oriented companies.
The strategic sell-offs in software and e-commerce stocks suggest a reallocation towards sectors expected to benefit from AI adoption, defense spending, and space commercialization. The financial results from SpaceX will be a critical indicator for the market and the ETFs involved.
