CBS Achieves 87.8% Reduction in Scope 1 and 2 Emissions, 100% Renewable Electricity by FY2025
Colebrook Bosson Saunders (CBS) has accomplished an 87.8% reduction in its Scope 1 and 2 emissions, achieving 100% renewable electricity in FY2025. The company targets net-zero emissions across all scopes by 2050, with a specific goal to cut Scope 3 emissions by 35% by 2030, highlighting the significant challenge posed by these emissions, which constitute over 99% of its carbon footprint.

CBS reported FY2025 emissions at 4,653.3 tCO2e, down from 5,061.3 tCO2e in FY2023. The company aims for net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and plans to offset residual emissions using verified carbon credits starting in FY2031.
Scope 3 emissions decreased 7.47% to 4,648.8 tCO2e, with a target of 3,265 tCO2e by 2030. Recycled aluminum content increased to 96%, yielding a reduction of over 1,639 tCO2e. CBS sourced 100% renewable electricity in FY2025, supported by a solar installation generating 696 MWh annually.
Product recyclability reached 98%, with nearly all packaging plastic-free. The company's environmental strategy focuses on supply-chain decarbonization, which is critical given that Scope 3 emissions dominate its carbon footprint.
