Currently, 42% of water is lost in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza, compared to a national average of 38%. The company is working to reduce these losses, exemplified by improvements in the Grande Messejana area.
Cagece reported a revenue of R$ 2.5 billion and investments of R$ 3.5 billion in the last fiscal year. Notably, 600,000 properties in Ceará do not connect to the sewage system, while 1.7 million are linked to both water and sewage networks. The company is also preparing to supply reclaimed water for industrial projects.
