Chantiers de l'Atlantique Chooses TMC for Royal Caribbean's New Cruise Ship Air System
Chantiers de l'Atlantique has selected TMC Compressors to provide a highly energy-efficient compressed air system for a new Oasis Class cruise ship for Royal Caribbean Group. This system, featuring Smart Air compressors, promises up to 40% energy savings, aligning with Royal Caribbean's sustainability goals.
TMC Compressors will supply an energy-efficient marine compressed air system, featuring Smart Air compressors, to Chantiers de l'Atlantique for Royal Caribbean's seventh Oasis Class cruise ship. The Smart Air technology provides precise speed control, adjusting motor speed according to air volume needs, resulting in reduced power consumption.
TMC will manufacture the compressors in the Nordic region and deliver the complete system to the Saint-Nazaire shipyard in France. Royal Caribbean's initiative aims for net zero emissions by 2050, highlighting the importance of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility in the cruise industry. The contract value remains undisclosed.
