Chef Robotics has launched Conveyor Connect, a capability that allows its chef robots to efficiently communicate with various conveyor types, such as continuous belt and indexing conveyors. This technology enhances precision in ingredient deposition and improves integration with existing automation systems.

Chef robots can read conveyor speed in real time, enabling accurate tray tracking and minimizing missed deposits. The system also supports stop-and-go coordination for indexing conveyors. A wireless companion box facilitates direct communication with the conveyor's control system, integrating seamlessly with existing infrastructure. Currently deployed in facilities like Cafe Spice, Conveyor Connect is available to food manufacturers in the U.S., Canada, and the UK as part of Chef's robotics-as-a-service model.
