Chef Robotics Launches Conveyor Connect for Enhanced Communication with Various Conveyor Types
Chef Robotics introduces Conveyor Connect, enabling its AI-enabled chef robots to communicate with different conveyor types, including continuous belt and indexing conveyors. This capability allows for precise ingredient deposition and improved automation integration in food manufacturing facilities. The system includes real-time control of conveyor speed and stop-and-go coordination, facilitated by a wireless companion box that connects directly to existing conveyor systems. Already deployed in customer facilities like Cafe Spice, the integration is available in the U.S., Canada, and the UK.

Chef Robotics has launched Conveyor Connect, a capability that allows its chef robots to efficiently communicate with various conveyor types, such as continuous belt and indexing conveyors. This technology enhances precision in ingredient deposition and improves integration with existing automation systems.
Chef robots can read conveyor speed in real time, enabling accurate tray tracking and minimizing missed deposits. The system also supports stop-and-go coordination for indexing conveyors. A wireless companion box facilitates direct communication with the conveyor's control system, integrating seamlessly with existing infrastructure. Currently deployed in facilities like Cafe Spice, Conveyor Connect is available to food manufacturers in the U.S., Canada, and the UK as part of Chef's robotics-as-a-service model.
