Chesterfield Township Planners Approve Conditional Rezoning for Second Sheetz Store
Chesterfield Township planning commission conditionally rezoned land for a second Sheetz store at 26 Mile and Burdon roads. The site will feature a 6,100-square-foot convenience store, fast-food restaurant, and gas station, with a 10-foot-wide walking path included. A vote on the site plan is postponed for updates before presentation to the township board in spring.

Chesterfield Township's planning commission voted to conditionally rezone a 3.4-acre site at the southwest corner of 26 Mile and Burdon roads for a second Sheetz store. The proposed development includes a 24-hour, 6,100-square-foot convenience store, fast-food restaurant, and an 8-pump gas station.
The rezoning changed the land from MX-2 to C-3, and Sheetz agreed to include a 10-foot-wide walking path. A vote on the site plan is postponed for further updates before it goes to the township board later this spring. Sheetz plans to open seven new stores in Macomb County by 2026.
