Cognibotics, a Swedish robotics company, has secured €6.5 million in funding, including a €2.5 million grant and €4 million in equity, from the European Innovation Council under Horizon Europe. The funding will enable the development and industrialization of HKM1800, a new industrial robot that offers delta-class speed and a 10 times larger workspace while consuming one-third less energy than conventional robots.
The HKM1800 can perform over 2,000 picks per hour across a 10 square meter area, enhancing automation scalability. This project responds to Europe's rising demand for efficient industrial systems amidst labor shortages.
